MINIMUM GRADES

The minimum requirements are an overall average of 60% in each year, as well as in all prerequisite subjects. Most programs are more competitive and require higher grades; applicants who present the minimum requirements are not guaranteed admission.

Faculty or School

Prerequisite Courses

Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, including Bioresource Engineering, Nutritional Sciences (including Dietetics) and Food Science

  • Subjects must include mathematics and
  • two of biology, chemistry or physics in Class 11 and 12

B.Sc.(Nutr.Sc. (Dietetics Major): Not eligible for direct admission. Minimum one year of university studies with completion of all prerequisite courses.

Architecture

  • Subjects must include mathematics, chemistry and physics in Class 11 and 12
  • Portfolio by March 7

Arts

  • No specific subject prerequisites

Arts & Science (B.A. &Sc.)

  • Subjects must include mathematics and two of biology, chemistry or physics in Class 11 and 12

Education

  • No specific subject prerequisites
  • Letter of Intent for all B.Ed. programs except Physical Education
  • Mathematics in Class 11 and Class 12 is recommended for applicants to the B.Ed. Secondary (Mathematics) 
  • It is recommended that applicants to the B.Ed. Secondary (Science and Technology) meet the same requirements as for Kinesiology

B.Mus./B.Ed. applicants must also meet Music requirements.

Engineering

  • Subjects must include mathematics, chemistry and physics in Class 11 and 12
  • Biology cannot be used as prerequisite

Kinesiology

  • Subjects must include mathematics and two of biology, chemistry or physics in Class 11 and 12

Management

  • Subjects must include mathematics in Class 11 and 12; business mathematics is acceptable

Music

  • No specific subject prerequisites
  • Audition and academic record determine admissibility

B.Mus./B.Ed. applicants must also meet Education requirements

Nursing (B.Sc.(N.))

  • Subjects must include mathematics and two of biology, chemistry or physics in Class 11 and 12

Nursing (Integrated Program) (B.N.I.)

  • Not eligible for admission

Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy
(B.Sc.Rehab.Sci)

  • Not eligible for direct admission

Regligious Studies (B.Th.)

  • No specific subject prerequisites
  • Academic record determines admissibility
