  • Below are the lowest grades used for admission for September 2017.
  • Grades that are equal to or better than those listed below do not guarantee admission in 2018. 
  • Admission to McGill is competitive and subject to availability of space. As such, minimum grades may fluctuate up or down in any given year.

Note: Math Studies is not acceptable for programs where math is a prerequisite.

  • Concurrent B.Sc. (B.Sc.(F.Sc.)/B.Sc.(Nutr.Sc.))

Architecture (B.Sc. Arch.)*
 

  • 37-38 subject points;
  • 6-7 in ea. math & science

 

  • Mathematics, Chemistry and
    Physics at Higher or Standard Level; at least one at HL

* Architecture applicants must submit a portfolio

Note: The decision to admit also takes into account the portfolio ranking. 

Arts (B.A.)

  • 34 subject points (predicted) or 33 subject points (final) overall
  • No specific prerequisites

Arts and Science (B.A.&Sc.)

  • 37 subject points overall;
  • 6 in ea. math & science
  • Mathematics and two of Biology, Chemistry or Physics, at Higher or Standard Level; at least one math/science at HL

Education (B.Ed.)

  • Kindergarten/Elementary Education*
  • 30 subject points overall.

  • No specific prerequisites

* B.Ed applicants to Kindergarten/Elementary, Secondary, and TESL must submit a Letter of Intent

** TESL applicants must also pass a language test.
