What is LearningBranch?
LearningBranch is a browser-based online learning platform that we mainly use for oral language tasks. The software is not a language learning program for self-directed language learners; it is rather a complementary tool for language courses where instructors can build their exercises online and assign them to students so they can practice a foreign or second language any time, anywhere.
How to use it?
It is a platform that you can start using easily once you are registered on the platform.
Registration steps for students:
- Contact your instructor and request a "self-registration link" if you haven't already received it.
- The unique self-registration link will allow you to be registered to a course and create a username and password if you are a first time user. Remember to use your student email address (e.g., john.doe [at] mail.mcgill.ca) for registration.
- If you already have a username and password from a previous course, enter your existing credentials during registration (if you forgot or cannot retreive your password, contact the haluk.tuncay [at] mcgill.ca (educational technology consultant).
