Integrating well-designed writing assignments into undergraduate courses can increase students’ engagement and promote critical thinking. Yet, many instructors shy away from giving their students writing assignments because of the extra workload required to mark them. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to start drafting an assignment for one of your courses. This draft will be based on guidelines for creating writing assignments that promote critical thinking without creating an overwhelming amount of marking.
