Student Accessibility and Achievement's Confidentiality Commitment
Documentation
The documents and personal information provided by you to our office remain confidential at all times. These can only be released to third parties with your express written permission, via our Student Records Release Form.
Disclosure
We do not disclose to third parties the fact that a student is registered with our office unless expressly asked to do so by the student. Whether you wish to disclose this information to your faculty or your instructors remains your decision at all times; we are happy to discuss the pros and cons of disclosure with you.
Transcript
Your registration with Student Accessibility and Achievement does not appear on your transcript and it is impossible for administrative units on campus or future employers to have access to this information unless you disclose it.
Note-Sharing
While students using the note-sharing service can see the name of the student providing the notes, the note sharer can’t see the name of the student(s) accessing the notes. Furthermore, all of our volunteer note-sharers sign a confidentiality agreement at the time of their onboarding into the program. This ensures complete confidentiality for students registered with Student Accessibility and Achievement who are eligible to receive peer notes.
Other concerns
If confidentiality remains a concern or you have further questions, please do not hesitate to discuss these with one of our advisors by calling (514) 398-6009.
