If you visit McGill's downtown campus in October/November (Fall Term) or February/March (Winter Term), you can choose to sit in on a class that is open to visitors and see McGill from a student's perspective.
No pre-registration is required
Simply consult the list of courses available to visitors for the
STUDENT FOR A DAY - FALL 2012 [.xls] and select 1 or 2 courses you
wish to attend.
The Student for a Day program ends March 31st. After this date, students will not be permitted to visit classes due to final exams.
On the day of your visit, drop by the Welcome Centre to obtain a Student for a Day pass. For further information, please contact the Welcome Centre. The Welcome Centre is located at 3415 McTavish Street in the McLennan library building. We are situated on the corner of McTavish and Sherbrook street, directly across from the McGill Bookstore and Desautels Faculty of Management building.
Schedule
Classes are offered on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule (listed as M/W/F)
or on a Tuesday/Thursday schedule (listed as T/R).
Please note:
We cannot predict if there are exams, mid-terms, conferences or tutorials
during the class you selected. Should this be the case, you are more than
welcome to attend another class. Please note that departments may modify
their class schedule.
