The Welcome Centre, located on the main floor of Burnside Hall, is the natural first stop for any student, parent or guidance counsellor planning to visit McGill's downtown campus. The main campus gates - the Roddick Gates - are on the corner of Sherbrooke Street West and McGill College Avenue.
The centre arranges walking tours, the opportunity to attend a class
(student-for-a-day), offers admissions information and a whole lot more to
ensure that prospective students and their parents have a solid understanding
of the university and its surroundings.
Important Note: Athletic facilities are NOT visited
during the tour because of time constraints; however, tour takers are
encouraged to visit them on their own either before or after the regular
campus tour on weekdays. No reservations are required to visit
athletics.
Please note that it is not possible to visit a residence during the
Fall 2009 Exam Period (Monday, December 7 to Tuesday, December 22) and the
Winter 2010 Exam Period (Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 30).
You can find more information on residences here:www.mcgill.ca/residences/

The Schulich School of Music is housed in both the historic Strathcona Music Building and the new $50-million music complex, which includes a world class sound recording and music technology research facility and an extensive Music Library. In addition to a rehearsal space large enough for an entire orchestra, this complex provides considerable room for music instruction, practice, and performance in a near-perfect acoustic environment. Founded as the Conservatorium of Music in 1904 and later incorporated as a faculty in 1920, the Schulich School of Music has enjoyed steady growth to its present position as the largest music school in Canada.
If you would like a tour of the Schulich School of Music or for more information, visit the Schulich School of Music web site, or contact the Schulich School of Music directly.
