Making Mega-Projects Work for Communities, a community university research alliance (CURA), strives to understand: (1) how large-scale projects fit into their urban surroundings, (2) how urban development and management decisions are made and implemented, and (3) how neighbourhood groups, university researchers and alliances between the two can help produce large projects that work well, environmentally, socially and economically, both on the project site and for the wider urban context.
