There's nothing quite like seeing things with your own eyes.
Tour the campus, talk with your student guide and get a first hand idea of what it's like to be a McGill student.
You’ll find McGill’s downtown campus in the heart of Montreal—in between its main shopping and business district and one of its largest, liveliest parks. A stunning mix of historic buildings, modern architecture and expansive green spaces, it’s easy to see why Travel+Leisure Magazine named ours one of the 16 most beautiful university campuses in the world. But it’s not all about style—we’ve got the substance to back it up. From state-of-the art labs to world-class sound recording studios, our facilities are the perfect complement to our top-tier teaching.
Located 36 kilometers west of downtown in the picturesque town of Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Macdonald campus is home to the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition. Spanning more than 1,600 acres of beautiful waterfront property, and home to about 2,000 students, it features bike paths and ski trails alongside computerized greenhouses, culinary laboratories, working farms, and so much more.
Downtown tours begin at the Welcome Centre, where you’ll find information about admissions, programs, and more! A current McGill students will give your tour and speak about our buildings, life in residence, student services, library resources, and clubs and societies. Campus tours don’t visit McGill Athletics facilities due to time constraints. However, we encourage you to swing by before or after your tour to see all they have to offer! Reservations aren’t required.
It’s important to note that tours taking place during fall and winter final exam periods don’t include McGill Residences, out of respect for studying students. Please check McGill’s important dates to see if your visit coincides with final exams.
