If you visit McGill's downtown campus in October/November (Fall Term) or February/March (Winter Term), you can choose to sit in on a class that is open to visitors and see McGill from a student's perspective.
No pre-registration is required. Simply consult the list of courses available to visitors for STUDENT FOR A DAY - Fall 2013 and select one or two courses you wish to attend.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not possible to attend classes during the McGill Study Break Period (March 3rd to March 7th, 2014).
On the day of your visit, drop by the Welcome Centre to obtain a Student-for-a-Day pass.
Classes are offered on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule (listed as M/W/F) or on a Tuesday/Thursday schedule (listed as T/R).
The Student-for-a-Day program ends March 31. After this date, students will not be permitted to visit classes due to final exams.
We cannot predict if there are exams, mid-terms, conferences or tutorials during the class you selected. Should this be the case, you are more than welcome to attend another class. Please note that departments may modify their class schedule.
Macdonald Campus offers a Student-For-A-Day program that provides a total immersion in the Macdonald experience. Prospective students tour the campus, sit in on classes, meet professors and students, and visit labs, facilities and residences. Please studentinfo [dot] macdonald [at] mcgill [dot] ca (email) the Macdonald Campus Student Affairs Office to register.
