Downtown campus tours

The Welcome Centre offers the following tours:

Prospective Students - The majority of tours are given to prospective undergraduate students. They are conducted by McGill students, Monday to Friday (excluding holidays), in English and French (by request). The prospective student tours focus on the history of McGill’s buildings, life in residence, student services, library resources, and clubs and societies.

Our last day for tours for the 2013 calendar year is Friday, December 13th. Tours will resume on January 13th, 2014.

Tour Times: Two tours are offered weekdays (Monday to Friday), generally at 10:30 and 14:30. Please register to ensure that a tour guide is available; check our schedule and book your tour at McGill in Mind.

Note: Athletic facilities are NOT visited during the tour because of time constraints; however, tour takers are encouraged to visit them on their own either before or after the regular campus tour on weekdays. No reservations are required to visit Athletics.

Please note that our campus tours will not include visits to McGill Residences during both the Fall and Winter Final Exam periods. Please see:

Prospective Graduate Students - Tours for prospective graduate students are also offered. They are conducted by current students and cover the downtown campus, libraries, various graduate services, as well as Thomson House, the popular social centre reserved for the use of graduate students.

Tour Times: Graduate Tours are available upon request. We ask that you please register one week in advance to ensure that a tour guide is available. Kindly email welcome [at] mcgill [dot] ca your preferred weekday and the number of guests you will have with you.
