McGill is home to one of the world's top medical schools and the first in Canada, and has been at the forefront of education and research in the health sciences for nearly two centuries. McGillians pioneered EEG brain scans, artificial blood cells and new AIDS-fighting antiretroviral drugs tools, and greatly enhanced humanity's understanding of the brain, The Faculty of Medicine is committed to upholding that proud tradition by offering training of the highest quality to meet the world's ever-changing health needs.
With access to a wide network of teaching hospitals including the McGill University Health Centre, the Jewish General Hospital, the Douglas Mental Health University Institute and St. Mary’s Hospital Center, our students interact with patients early in their studies.
