Today's business graduates must be critical thinkers who make insightful decisions across multiple disciplines. McGill's Desautels Faculty of Management is among the most international of today's leading business schools, drawing students and faculty members from every continent and broadening its scope to cover a range of global issues. Our students also have great internship opportunities and the chance to participate in exchange programs with business schools in Europe, Asia, the U.S. and South America. That's the McGill edge.
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS OF STUDY
McGill's Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) program is the most flexible in Canada and the most international in focus. Students complete a broadly-based core of required courses, and choose from the following program options:
General Management: Ideal for students seeking a general business education. Students pursue focused study in two fields of management, or one field of management with a minor in another faculty.
Majors and Honours: A natural choice for students who have clearly defined career objectives or who are interested in obtaining further professional training, such as the Major in Accounting for a CA designation.
Major in International Management: As of 2009, the new interdisciplinary Major in International Management allows focused studies on a broad range of global issues opening the doors to careers in multinationals, governments, trade organizations, and non-governmental organizations.

Workshops, Career Fairs, online job postings, company information sessions, the Career Discovery Series, mentoring, internships, networking opportunities with the business community and alumni are just some of the services offered.
In addition to exchange opportunities open to all McGill students, the B.Com. program has direct exchange agreements with leading business schools in more than a dozen countries, including Argentina, Australia, Czech Republic, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, the U.K. and the U.S.
The Summer Abroad Program offers you the unique opportunity to earn credits while learning about business and experiencing life in another country. The program combines formal class time (lectures, guest speakers and visits to surrounding area businesses) with informal learning as you study, live and work with other students while abroad. In past years, programs have been held in Brazil, Cuba, Czech Republic, England, France, Greece, Germany, Italy, Scotland and Vietnam.
Building a career calls for both theoretical training and hands-on practice, not to mention developing a wide professional network. The Desautels Faculty of Management offers B.Com. and M.B.A. students the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience through a comprehensive internship program. M.B.A. students can earn 6 credits towards the completion of their degree through a three to four month internship. Internship opportunities are offered locally, nationally and internationally by leading firms in sectors including banking, consulting, information technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and telecommunications.
