This elective is structured to acquaint students with disease processes by the study of surgical pathology and autopsy material and to correlate the clinical and pathological abnormalities, and to better understand the roles of Pathologists within clinical settings. Participation in teaching conferences on Monday mornings is encouraged. The number of students which can be accommodated is variable depending upon the space and staff availability.

Clinical and Anatomical Pathology
This elective is offered in a smaller community hospital where it is possible for students to work in the hematology, microbiology or clinical chemistry laboratories and to correlate clinical observations with laboratory findings. This program can be combined with Anatomical Pathology and sometimes with Medicine and Surgery:
