Free tutoring

FROSH STUDENTS

One hour of FREE tutoring available to all Frosh students (newly admitted undergraduate students entering their first term at McGill) through the McGill Tutorial Service.

New students sometimes experience problems adjusting to some of their courses at McGill. The Tutorial Service is available as an additional resource for students hoping to reinforce classroom learning and strengthen their academic performance.

To take advantage of this initiative, Frosh students simply check the appropriate box on the request a tutor online form

STUDENTS ON PROBATION

If you are a student on probation, the Tutorial Service is presently offering FREE tutoring to assist you in dealing with academic difficulties. Email the tutoring.service [at] mcgill.ca (Administrative Coordinator) for more information or simply check the appropriate box on the request a tutor online form.

***Varsity athletes must contact the Intercollegiate Office in the Dept. of Athletics to request a tutor to receive subsidized tutoring.
***Clients of the Office for Students with Disabilities requiring a tutor must contact an Access Services Advisor to determine their eligibility for subsidized tutoring.
***First Peoples' House will be subsidizing tutoring sessions for any First Nations, Inuit or Metis student requesting this service.   You must contact Alyse VanEvery, Indigenous Student Advisor, for more information and to request a subsidized tutor.  She can be reached by email, alyse.vanevery [at] mcgill.ca or telephone, 514-398-6057.  You can also fill out this form and Alyse will be in touch shortly.
