Jonathan began his Ph.D in Physics in September 2010 in the field of carbon nanoelectronics, having recently obtained his M.Sc degree from McGill University. He has been part of T-PULSE since September 2008
Disseminating the knowledge discovered by cognitive science to graduate students, undergraduates, and professors is his main motivator. Whether through the Graduate Teaching Workshop, the Learning to Learn workshop or an upcoming professor project, making sure learning, and not just teaching, happens is a challenge that Jonathan hopes to rise to. Through facilitation of freshman labs in physics, informal tutorial sessions in Physics and Computer Science in CEGEP or coaching teens on the soccer field, there is always a way to make the people we teach better.
Jonathan will be helping the audience get to know their students much better in the next T-PULSE graduate workshop. Currently, Physics 131/142 and its students occupy his TA share.
