CASE Canadian Professor of the Year
Another important national teaching award which existed between 1986 and 2004 (the program is still active in the United States as the U.S. Professors of the Year Awards Program) was the CASE Canadian Professor of the Year. This award was designed to honour Canadian faculty members for extraordinary dedication to undergraduate teaching, and for outstanding contributions to the lives and careers of their students. It was sponsored by The Royal Bank of Canada, and was co-administered by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE).
McGill's Award Winner
Rhonda Amsel, of McGill's Department of Psychology, received this award in 1997.
Rhonda was also a recipient of the 3M Teaching Fellowship Award in 2002.
