Mercury Evaluation Periods

Default Evaluation Period

The default course evaluation period for regularly scheduled courses will be the same across the University. The time period normally runs for six weeks, and will end two days after the examinaton period is over.

Condensed Evaluation Period

Academic units, with the prior approval of the Dean, now have the option of reducing the course evaluation period to the day before the start of the examination period. For the Fall 2014 term, academic units wishing to follow the condensed course evaluation period should inform the mercury [dot] info [at] mcgill [dot] ca (TLS Mercury System Administrator) no later than October 15, 2014. Click here to view the academic units that are following the condensed course evaluation period.

Custom Evaluation Period

For courses that do not follow the regular term calendar (e.g.: intensive courses), it is possible for individual questionnaires to have their own start and end dates in order to have an appropriate evaluation period. Please contact your Mercury Departmental Liaison at the beginning of each term so they can insert the appropriate dates.
