Québec energy consultation

In fall 2013, the Commission sur les enjeux énergétiques du Québec launched a public consultation process looking at energy issues. Citizens and organizations throughout Québec are expressing their opinions, sharing their expertise and making suggestions about ways to deal with the main energy issues facing Québec.  What energy-related challenges will Quebecers face in the future?

Annual symposium

Mark your calendars - March 17th and 18th, 2014!

Total E&P Distinguished Visitor Speaker Series

Made possible through a generous donation by Total E&P Canada, one of our most high-profile activities is a distinguished visiting speaker series that is open to academics, students, the public, government representatives and McGill’s industry partners. These prestigious and well-publicized events are tailored to attract experts in our thematic areas. The insights these speakers share and the discussions they generate will help to advance new sustainability initiatives and position McGill as a leader in this field. We'll keep you updated on our next planned speaker!

Governance

TISED will involve many stakeholders in its governance - in consultative and advisory roles as well as management, governance, and direction-setting. More information on our boards, committees, working groups, and volunteer opportunities is forthcoming.

Showcase Projects

We want to inform people about current and future sustainable practices as well as the research that fosters those practices. We'll feature projects here that represent our mandate and that help people understand and appreciate science and technology in new ways.

Activities

TISED takes a broad, hands-on approach to informing public opinion on sustainability issues in engineering, design, and urban planning. Using diverse methods, outreach programs and activities, we strive to enhance public policy. We'll bring the public, policy-makers, and universities together in an annual public symposium in collaboration with Polytechnique Montréal, focusing on the importance of sustainable engineering and design in the sectors that shape our world.
