Make it Happen: Growing Sustainability at McGill
The Office of Sustainability and the First-Year Office’s Leadership Training Program held an exciting event to encourage all students and staff to take action in helping move McGill toward sustainability!
Make it Happen: Growing Sustainability at McGill was held on March 15th, 2011 in the Thompson House Ballroom on the Downtown Campus.
The event provided the exceptional opportunity to meet Gerald Butts, President of World Wildlife Fund of Canada and member of McGill’s Board of Governors. It also highlighted meaningful individual actions for institutional change by offering the ability to participate in engaging Open Space discussions. Additionally, attendees learned about opportunities for applied student research and funding from the Sustainability Projects Fund.
This was an excellent opportunity for students and the administration to collaborate in building a culture of sustainability among the McGill community. To learn more about the SPF and the projects currently being funded, please visit the Get Involved section of the Office of Sustainability web site.
The event was available in live broadcast for those who could not attend.
