SP0006: Meatless Mondays

Status: COMPLETED April 2010 - October 2010

Meatless Monday McGill (MMM), part of the international Meatless Monday campaign, is promoting a meat-free diet one day per week for the associated health and environmental benefits.

Collaboration between students and McGill Food and Dining Services will be bringing MMM to three residence dining halls this fall in the form of educational printed materials, weekly menu changes and an interactive website. The goals of this long-term campaign are to encourage active consumerism and reduce meat consumption amongst students. Students can get involved simply by making a pledge to eat meat-free on Monday or filling out a response survey online. Students looking for further involvement can table for special events or take on coordinator roles.
