McGill Spaces Project Presents: James' Walk

Thursday, April 10, 2014 16:00to17:30
Burnside Hall Statue of James McGill on Lower Field, 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 0B9, CA

The McGill Spaces Project invites you to an interactive James' Walk* on the McGill campus. Come learn about unique spaces right under your nose, and share your favourite spots on campus!
* The James' Walk is modeled after urban explorations known as Jane's Walk (after famed urban planner Jane Jacobs)

On April 10th, from 4:00pm - 5:30pm, please join us for an interactive walk around McGill's lower campus. Together, we will put on our explorer hats, discover some the downtown campus' curiosities, and share stories about the spaces that shape our everyday experiences at McGill. This is a great opportunity to meet some new people (students, staff, and faculty), get to know the campus a little better, and learn from others. We would love for you to join us, and to come willing to share any stories about spaces you may have - ranging from musings about art, to history, to operations, to nature, etc.

Modelled after urban explorations known as Jane's Walks (after famed urban planner Jane Jacobs), the McGill Spaces Project's James' Walk (get it?) will double as a launch event for the McGill Spaces Project. On April 10th, meet at the James McGill Statue on the lower field at 4pm. We will finish the walk at around 5:00pm near the ping pong tables outside of the Leacock Building, where there will be an friendly ping pong match and some snacks.
