netMTL, a join venture between students at McGill and Concordia Universities is taking on the goal of competing in the all-solar solar decathalon race, Solar Decathalon Europe, in 2016 in Versailles, France.

They're normally found in face wash, shower gel and toothpaste. But plastic microbeads are now showing up in lakes and rivers.
Plastic microbeads from face wash are polluting river sediment; Tiny balls of plastic from cosmetic products are showing up in river sediment for the first time, mixing with the rocks and dirt that line the bed of the Saint Lawrence River.

The fossil fuel divestment movement is building. Around the world, tens of thousands of students are mobilizing to take a stand against fossil fuel industries. In Canada, there are already nearly thirty divestment campaigns on university and college campuses, from coast to coast.

Community Engagement Day is a new project from SEDE that aims to celebrate and recognize community engagement efforts connecting McGill to Montreal community groups and organizations. The project is not intended as a one-off event; rather, it’s meant to serve as an entry point and celebration of a broader culture of community engagement at McGill.
