The Library Multibins project oversaw the purchase and installation of 25 specialized recycling/waste multibins in three libraries on McGill campus, including the main Humanities and Social Sciences Library (Redpath/Mclennan). Furniture Asset and Management (SP0085)

Wishing to participate more actively in the Sustainability efforts endorsed by McGill University, we would like to develop a website to facilitate the redistribution of used furniture within the McGill community.

Farm Fresh Truck (SP0079)

The McGill feeding McGill project, the Macdonald Campus Farm and McGill Food and Dining Services are building part of a sustainable food system at McGill.

Waste to Resource Assessment (SP0077)

Status: ONGOING May 2011 - present

From the initial application: A detailed waste assessment will be conducted in order to understand current waste generation activities, as well as recycling programs presently established across the McGill campus. The waste assessment will identify strategies to improve the current waste diversion rate through the identification of additional recycling opportunities and educational initiatives.

McGill Feeding McGill 3 (SP0074)

Status: ONGOING April 2012 - present

This project is a continuation of SPF projects: McGill Feeding McGill (SP0002) and McGill Feeding McGill 2 (SP0038)

The objective of the project is to provide locally grown fruits and vegetables from the Macdonald Campus’s Horticultural Center to McGill’s downtown residences and the general student community.

Wood Shredder (SP0064)
