MFDS Marine Stewardship Certification (SP0088)

Furniture Asset and Management (SP0085)

Wishing to participate more actively in the Sustainability efforts endorsed by McGill University, we would like to develop a website to facilitate the redistribution of used furniture within the McGill community.

From the initial application: The McGill Food Systems Project, initiated by a small group of students together with a few core staff members three years ago, is considered a successful example of organizational change that contributes to environmental sustainability.

From the initial applications: In creating a food system known for its transparency and accountability, the McGill Food Systems Project (MFSP) practices an exemplary model of student engagement where diverse stakeholders are able to work in collaboration towards a common goal.

Farm Fresh Truck (SP0079)

The McGill feeding McGill project, the Macdonald Campus Farm and McGill Food and Dining Services are building part of a sustainable food system at McGill.

Macdonald Student-Run Ecological Gardens 3 (SP0071)

At the Macdonald campus of McGill University a student-led initiative is bringing forth ecological agriculture into its food system, curriculums, internship opportunities and its social sphere.

Chemical Curriculum Development (SP0068)

Status: ONGOING April 12 2012 - present

Chemistry laboratory curriculum development (sustainability-focused) has involved six undergraduate (between U0 and U3, including one volunteer that was subsequently compensated) research students that have, only rarely with the aid of postdoctoral researchers/graduate students in the Friščić and Lumb groups, participated in five projects of improving the sustainable nature of the CHEM 392 teaching laboratory.
