McGill is launching its first #ConsentMcGill Campaign from October 20 to 24, 2014 at the downtown campus and from October 22-24 at Macdonald campus!
#ConsentMcGill is an educational campaign to increase campus understanding of consent, as it applies to sexual activity and to our day-to-day lives.
Developed in collaboration with students, faculty and staff, #ConsentMcGill will discuss the three main aspects of consent: Asking, Listening and Respecting one another.
On Oct. 16, McGill University launched the Vision 2020 Sustainability Strategy, a blueprint for increasing social, economic, and environmental sustainability in the McGill community. Over a hundred and fifty students attended the launch event at the Y-intersection last Thursday afternoon.

A new report from the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) meeting in South Korea says that ocean acidification has risen alarmingly from absorption of CO2 in the atmosphere.
This report says acidification is changing and will dramatically change the ocean ecosystem in years ahead.

Last Thursday was the third annual Community Engagement Day (CED), organized by the Social Equity and Diversity Education office (SEDE). From September 29 to October 9, workshops and volunteering opportunities were hosted by forty different organizations based throughout the Montreal community, with the majority of events happening on October 2.
