HIST 404 The History of Confucius (3 credits)

History : Confucius is inseparable from the idea of China or even East Asia. This course will unpack the manifold legacies of Confucius and his classics in pre-imperial, imperial, and modern China.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2013-2014 academic year.

  • Prerequisites: HIST 208 or HIST 218 or EAST 211 or permission of the instructor
  • Restriction(s): Not open to students who have taken EAST 490.
