When studying abroad, there are other costs that you should take into account when you budget, such as airfare, accommodations and other living expenses.

To offset these additional costs, you may be eligible for funding. Some examples of funding sources are:

  • Mobility Award
  • The Killam Fellowships Program
Awards for study in the U.S.A
  • U21 Travel Awards: Applicable only to McGill exchange partners that are part of the U21 Consortium. Apply by completing the U21 Travel Award section of your exchange application on Minerva. (Write about the potential significance of an exchange on your academic and personal development, and how you will be able to contribute to the promotion of future student mobility within the U21 consortium.)
  • Funding for graduate students

For more information about costs and funding, refer to the Scholarships and Student Aid Office and the CAPS Scholarships and Awards database.
