Emilie Conway to clerk at the International Court of Justice

We are happy to announce that Emilie Conway, BCL/LLB’13, has been selected by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to participate in the Court’s 2014-2015 Judicial Assistants Programme.

Judicial Assistants are chosen to work directly with one judge, helping him or her in the preparation for hearings and the drafting of judgments.

Ms Conway was selected to work directly with the President of the Court, Judge Peter Tomka. She will begin work in September 2014.

Law Student Éloïse Gagné receives Scarlet Key Prize

The Faculty of Law was delighted to learn that one of its students was awarded a Scarlet Key Awards during a pining ceremony held at McGill’s Faculty Club on March 26, 2014.

Éloïse Gagné, who served as the LSA’s president in 2013-2014 and was a member of the 2013 editorial board of the McGill Law Journal, received her Scarlet Key pin from Principal Suzanne Fortier, in recognition of her efforts to help support McGill and the broader community.
