McGill is pleased to guarantee residence accommodation to;
- all newly admitted undergraduate students who are 22 years of age and under (September 1), and
- starting their first year of university studies, and
- admitted to McGill University and have accepted that offer of admission prior to the residence confirmation deadline
Students MUST confirm their room reservation and pay their residence deposit by June 3rd, 2014 in order to confirm their space in residence.
First-year undergraduate students receiving renewable entrance scholarships are further guaranteed that they will be assigned a single room in Laird Hall.
After June 3rd, when all newly admitted first year students who applied and paid for residences have been accommodated, consideration will be given to first year students admitted to the University after June 3rd, transfer students and exchange students.
How do I apply for space in residence?
To indicate your interest in residence accommodation, simply check off "yes" in response to the question regarding residence accommodation on the application forms.

How do I know if I have been offered a spot in residence?
If you are a first year student and are admitted to McGill before June 3rd you are guaranteed residence accommodation. To confirm your residence accommodation, log on to Minerva.
Readmission for Returning Students
How to apply
Residences at Macdonald Campus are available to returning students for the academic year 2014-2015. If you are returning to the residence for the spring or the fall 2014, please submit the residence form before April 2014. You must also log in to Minerva to register and make your deposit in April 2014. Payment is made by credit card through Minerva.
