New Residence Hall
Located just a few blocks from the McGill Campus
This residence facility is situated in the heart of the Milton-Parc Community, and was formerly a Renaissance-Montreal hotel.
Housing over 700 students on 14 floors, this residence is located close to McGill's athletics facilities, 2 major grocery stores, pharmacies, numerous convenience stores, a repertory movie theatre, restaurants and, of course, Montreal's lively downtown.
Most of the rooms in this new hall are double rooms, and all rooms have their own private bathroom. Rooms are fully furnished and feature, amongst other luxuries, air conditioning and double beds in most double rooms with a few exceptions having twin beds (some single rooms even have queen size beds!). On each floor, students can relax in the TV lounge or prepare a little snack in the adjacent kitchenette. A study lounge can also be found on every floor. The magnificent lobby offers a very comfortable lounge and a grand piano!
The fabulous location, on-site cafeteria and many in-house and nearby services will make this a convenient place for students to live in their first year at McGill. Floor fellows on every floor, an active residence hall council and tons of common rooms will help turn this home-away-from-home into a lively community.

- Single and double occupancy rooms with private bathrooms. Dormitory-style housing.
- Shared kitchens and lounges are located on every floor.

Lease
The lease begins on August 25th, 2013 and ends on April 30th, 2014.
Utilities
Electricity, hot water, air condition/heating (controlled by individual thermostats) are included in the rent.
Furnishings
- Bed, desk, dresser, lamps, drapery, wall to wall carpeting. Each room is equipped with a small fridge.
- Please note: Beds in double rooms are standard double beds. Regular double sheets will fit these beds. Beds in single rooms are queen-sized.
Phone and internet
Rooms are wired for private telephone lines and direct computer connections, which are not included in the fees and must be arranged with McGill’s REZ Voice and Data Service.

24-hour security and front desk; turnstiles with card reader access.
Insurance
McGill Residences does not insure students' belongings. In case of theft, fire or flood, students must rely on their own insurance providers. Many home insurance plans offer benefits for students who stay in a university residence away from home - check with your insurer for details. Alternatively, ask an insurance company about their options for university residences.
