Downtown Undergraduate Residences

Living in residence provides you with more than just a room with a bed and a desk. You will soon discover why so many students have found our residences to be healthy, fun and secure places to call home. Residence is the ideal place to learn and grow alongside your peers, and create strong and lasting friendships.

McGill Residences offer a variety of accommodations that reflect the diversity of our student population. While facilities vary from building to building, the sense of community that characterizes Residences remains constant.

Each year, we are able to house approximately 3,000 undergraduate students. While most are new first-year students, a number of upper-year students return as student leaders in residence (student council members, Floor Fellows, Dons, and MORE Fellows), and play an integral role in making residence life an enriching and rewarding experience for all.
