Planning, building and modifying your course load

Planning and building a course load for your first semester can seem like a daunting task. McGill offers nearly 6,000 courses, and it's understandable that you might need a little help wading through them all. Use this site to learn more about planning your course load, registering for courses, and adding and dropping them after the semester has started.

When in doubt, the best policy is always to contact an academic advisor — either directly or through McGill's online "Ask an Advisor" tool. If you have questions, don't wait — get the answers you need immediately. Deadlines have a way of slipping by unnoticed, and your academic career is too important to gamble with.

Please note that this website is intended as an informal, unofficial guide to McGill courses for undergraduate students. The Programs, Courses and University Regulations publication is the only official source on this subject.

2009-2010 Undergraduate Programs Calendar

McGill's program calendars contain information on courses, fees, degree requirements, deadlines, terminology and more. You're responsible for consulting the appropriate calendar each time you register and for meeting your graduation requirements. If you need help or guidance, ask an advisor!
