Role: to mobilize and engage the McGill community around the SRI, prioritize SRI activities and resources, resolve conflicts and monitor performance on execution.

Performance Management Unit
Role: to support project planning and execution, coordinate execution across working groups, monitor and communicate progress and help address roadblocks and resource issues.

Working Groups
The SRI was initially organized around a series of working groups given the task of identifying potential opportunities, framing and prioritizing options, scoping resources/timing requirements and preparing initiatives for implementation. In all, the SRI consisted of five working groups:
