We are proud of the outstanding academic environment which is offered to our students. Part of McGill's Faculty of Medicine, the School offers seven academic programs in three areas: Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Graduate Studies in Rehabilitation Sciences (Master's and PhD).
Entrance to clinical practice in Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy requires a Professional Master's degree. In order to gain entrance to these programs two undergraduate degrees are offered: Bachelor of Science, Rehabilitation Science, major in Occupational Therapy and Bachelor of Science, Rehabilitation Science, major in Physical Therapy. Students may then apply to the Professional Master's in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy to be eligible for professional licensure for clinical practice.
Students who hold another undergraduate degree may apply directly to the Professional Master's in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy. They will first be required to complete a Qualifying Year.
Research-based Master's and PhD Programs in Rehabilitation Sciences are offered. These are designed for experienced, licensed clinicians with an undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy or related fields who are seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in clinical research related to health and rehabilitation.
