Every year, an Interactive Day is planned where research teams with Edith Strauss funding are invited to present their study findings. The event is well attended by researchers from various departments, clinicians from across the continuum of care, graduate students, and the general public. This event is sponsored by the Edith Strauss Rehabilitation Research Projects.
At the annual Interactive Day, funded research teams present their project findings either orally or by poster presentation. To kick start the presentations, guest speakers who are experts in the field of knowledge translation are invited to give a keynote address. Following each research presentation, there will be an interactive discussion among the research team and attendees regarding knowledge translation and evidence-based practice specific to that topic area. These fruitful discussions will continue during the wine and cheese reception at the end of the event.
New addition to Interactive Day: “Workshop for Movers and Shakers”: a three hour interactive workshop for clinicians who would like to learn about effective strategies for moving research evidence into their clinical practice and setting. The workshop is sponsored by the Edith Strauss Rehabilitation Research Projects
