Dr. Anaby’s research encompasses the areas of occupation, occupational balance, participation and well being across the lifespan, with special focus on childhood disability. Her studies involve the effect of the environment (physical, social and attitudinal) on leisure participation of children with physical disabilities, and the testing of intervention plans to enhance community engagement. In addition to this applied and intervention-oriented line of inquiry, Dana is also engaged in conceptual and measurement-focused projects. She intends to further explore the notion of participation, and consequently, develop outcome measures that capture the conceptual dimensions essential to children’s well being.
