L'Ancien Pensionnat Cote-St-Paul is a residence for seniors who are semi-autonomous. We are located on a bus line (37) and not far from Jolicour metro. We are looking for volunteers to do the following: friendly visiting with our residents, assisting with group activities, taking someone out for a walk or coffee. Many of our residents do not have family nearby and can't venture out on their own. The CLSC René-Cassin, located in Cote St. Luc and serving clients in Cote St. Luc, Hampstead and Snowdon West, is looking for volunteer animators for its Drop-In Centre, a community resource geared toward clients who have experienced a loss of autonomy related to a cognitive or physical disability. The centre also provides respite for those who care for family members at home. Animators organize activities and care for clients.
The CLSC also needs volunteers to visit the elderly. Some of our clients need help with grocery shopping, while others simply need you to help break their isolation. You need to give only one hour a week to help someone who desparately needs it.
