The ABC’s of the PhD is a seminar series sponsored by the Faculty of Education and open to all graduate students at McGill University. Typically, sessions are held during the academic year, approximately from October through April.
Participation in a mentorship program is an excellent way to connect with professionals in your field. While at SIS, students have access to a variety of mentorship opportunities offered by McGill student chapters of professional associations and by McGill University.
SIS Student Associations & Groups have historically offered a number of mentorship programs to connect students with LIS professionals in the Montreal information community. Members of the SIS community have contributed information about these mentorship programs on the SIS Wiki Mentorships page (Minerva password required).
The McGill Mentor Program is a program to connect students and McGill alumni, managed through a tri-partnership between the McGill Alumni Association (MAA), the Career Planning Service (CaPS) and the Student Organization for Alumni Relation (SOAR).
