Students in the Graduate Certificate Program complete a 15-credit program composed of courses selected in consultation with the student's advisor.
Complementary Courses
9-15 credits, three to five GLIS courses chosen in consultation with the student's advisor with the exception of the following courses: GLIS 646, GLIS 647, GLIS 689, GLIS 699 (MLIS-only courses); GLIS 695, GLIS 696D1, GLIS 696D2 (Graduate Diploma Courses).

Not all courses are offered every year. Some elective courses are offered in alternate years. For the term, days, and times when courses will be offered, please refer to McGill's Minerva Dynamic Schedule or the current MLIS course timetables.
External Course Credits
Up to 6 credits may be taken outside the School, 3 credits of which may be taken outside of McGill. All such courses must be at the graduate level and receive prior approval of the student's advisor(s) and the School Director.
