Dear incoming (or potential!) MLIS student,

The Canadian Library Association McGill Student Chapter would like to welcome you to Montreal, to McGill, and to the MLIS program. As you begin your new life as an MLIS student (or are considering the MLIS at McGill), you will no doubt have plenty of questions,both prior to, and upon your arrival in Montreal. As your CLA student representatives, we are here to introduce you to the professional library community, answer your questions, and help ease your transition into the MLIS program.

The CLA is organizing various events of interest to the SIS community and information professionals, including librarians, knowledge managers, and archivists. Contact marnie [dot] seal [at] mail [dot] mcgill [dot] ca (Marnie Seal) for upcoming events.

Our mission is to help students become active in the professional library community before graduation. The Chapter also acts as a liaison between library school students and the Canadian Library Association.

There is no cost to being involved with the student chapter and you don't need to be a CLA member to participate.
