University of Waterloo - Psychology
This program offered Honours Psychology students the opportunity to work as a paid research assistant on a full-time basis for 16 consecutive weeks. This program intends to stimulate the students’ interest in research and to encourage them to undertake graduate studies and careers in a ‘natural science’ area of Psychology (e.g., behavioural neuroscience, cognition/perception, cognitive factors of development or depression, etc.).

UROP International at RWTH Aachen University
UROP International in Aachen consist of three elements: the programme's core, a research internship carried out in a research facility or lab at RWTH Aachen University, supervised by academic staff, research-related field trips, an intensive German language course, and leisure time activities to introduce students to German science, history and culture and get them in contact with German and international students. Internships in Biostatistics
The McGill Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health is pleased to announce up to 5 internships for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative field. This program gives students the unique opportunity to gain exposure to real-world research in Biostatistics. Qualified students might participate in study design, data collection, programming, and/or data analysis, in projects investigating factors that affect the health and illness of populations. Studentships in musculoskeletal, oral and skin health, and mobility - CIHR Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (IMHA) and CIHR Institute of Aging (IA)
These 12-week studentships allow undergraduate students to undertake research projects under the leadership of established health researchers in areas of strategic interest to CIHR's IMHA and IA. More information

Canadian Arthritis Network - Industry Summer Training Program
This program supported students to participate in arthritis research in an industry setting for a summer term. Undergraduate students interested in arthritis research are eligible to apply.

FRQS (Fonds de la recherche du Québec - santé) Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA)
Formerly known as the FRSQ USRA. For students registered in an undergraduate program in health sciences or other disciplines offering specialization in health sciences, including social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering. More information.
Deadline: (February 15, 2013.) The Summer 2013 program was cancelled due to provincial budget cuts; as of November 2013, it does not appear on the programs for Summer 2014; check FRQS website for possible changes or reintroduction of program.
McGill Oncology Summer Scholarship Program
For McGill undergraduate science students interested in pursuing cancer research. The research project (8 weeks or 12 weeks) must be under the direction of a member of the Department of Oncology, and must involve scientific experimentation, not simply data collection. More information.

SFI UREKA: Science Foundation Ireland Undergraduate Research Experience and Knowledge Award programme
SFI's UREKA Programme offered undergraduates the opportunity to carry out summer research in Ireland at various participating institutions chosen by the SFI.
