Project title: Conformal Field Theory

Project description (50-100 words suggested): We first learn about quantizations of scalar fields, and vector fields. Scale invariant theories, in other words Conformal Field Theories in two and four dimensions. Furthermore connections to other gauge theories and Topological quantum field theory. We explore density states in two and four dimensions.

Prerequisite: 1 term completed at McGill + CGPA of 3.0 or higher; or permission of instructor.

Grading scheme (The final report must be worth at least 50% of final grade): Written report 50%, Oral Presentation 50%

Project status: This project is taken; however students may contact the professor to discuss other possible '396' projects this term.
