Project title: SETI Search for Laser Signal in WM Keck Spectra

Project description (50-100 words suggested): A search in relic Keck spectra for spatially unresolved laser lines from advanced civilizations. Spectra were taken for California Planet Search and Kepler target post-observing radail velocity measurements. The goal is an upper bound on continuous, high-output laser transmission incident on Earth in the Solar Neighborhood.

Prerequisite: 1 term completed at McGill + CGPA of 3.0 or higher; or permission of instructor.

Grading scheme (The final report must be worth at least 50% of final grade): Final Report: 100%

Other project information: This project is being done in conjunction with Professor Geoffrey Marcy, University of California, Berkeley.

Project status: This project is taken. The professor has no more '396' projects this term.
