Project title: Copper Catalysed Aerobic Oxidation of Alchohols

Project description (50-100 words suggested): The copper-based catalyst has been discovered that oxidizes a wide range of alcohols into ketones under pure oxygen conditions. In order to investigate the generality of the reaction and the efficiency of the catalyst, series of reactions need to be applied.

Prerequisite: 1 term completed at McGill + CGPA of 3.0 or higher; or permission of instructor.

Grading scheme (The final report must be worth at least 50% of final grade): Final grade shall be based on a final written report consists of at least 50% of written grade with remaining sections composes of laboratory performances and related categories to be determined by the supervisor
