Project title: Synthesis of FPPS Inhibitors

Project description: Indole bisphosphonates were identified as a new structural class of compounds that inhibit the human farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase (hFPPS). Novel analogs will be prepared and evaluated as potential inhibitors of hFPPS

Prerequisite: 1 term completed at McGill + CGPA of 3.0 or higher; or permission of instructor.

Grading scheme (The final report must be worth at least 50% of final grade): 25% Laboratory Performance, 25% Oral Presentation, 50% Final Report

Other project information: The applicant must follow the laboratory proper protocols for experimental work and the reporting of experimental procedures. All experimental data will be kept confidential.
