Project title: Development of a novel arm simulator for neuromuscular blockade and monitoring
Project description (50-100 words suggested): A simulator will be created which will realistically mimic the physiological response of a hand when a neurostimulation is made using a peripheral nerve stimulator. This simulator will accurately model the physical properties of a human arm and hand. The simulator will respond accurately to the placement and amplitude of the nerve stimulation.
Prerequisite: 1 term completed at McGill + CGPA of 3.0 or higher; or permission of instructor.
Grading scheme (The final report must be worth at least 50% of final grade): Final report 50%, program 40%, lab work 10%
Project status: This project is taken; however students may contact the professor to discuss other possible '396' projects this term.
