To obtain the offical McGill approved form - please refer to the following Consulate website: Convention de stage. Print a copy. The Host Organization must complete it and sign it before the document can be approved and signed by the Internship and Field Studies Office.

The students must be registered and must be returning to their studies at McGill after completing their internship. The Covention de stage form will request the following information:

  • Student’s full name
  • Host organization’s name
  • Host organization’s address
  • Host organization’s internship supervisor
  • Host organization’s internship supervisor contact information
  • Student’s address
  • Student’s program/department
  • Length of internship (# of weeks or months)
  • Start date and end date (# of hours/week)
  • Paid or unpaid

Once the information for the Convention de stage has been compiled, a Travel Registry form will be created on Minerva, in which the student must log on to complete. Only once this form is completed, will the student be able to pick up their Convention de stage paperwork.

Notes:

The Convention de stage must be requested two weeks before the internship starts. It will not provided after that.

The Internship and Field Studies Office only accepts the Convention de stage provided on the Consulate's page. No other form will be accepted.
