TV broadcasts: Science outreach on Canal Savoir
Got an itch for knowledge? From April 15 to July 14, 2013, the Canal Savoir network will be broadcasting features from the Cutting Edge Lectures in Science series, the Mini-Science series, and more. Refer to the schedule to find out when to tune in, and to find out more about each episode.
Canal Savoir is a non-profit, Quebec-based television network that strives to make higher learning accessible to everyone.
Job Finding Club
The premise of the CaPS Job Finding Club (JFC) is that finding employment is in itself a full-time job, which may be easier if done with a group of people. The JFC consists of a group of ten to fifteen graduating students, all of whom are seeking employment. You will have each other for support, with the assistance of a CaPS facilitator and the career advisors.

Music @ Museum: Georgian traditional vocal music
Join the singers from McGill’s newest voice ensemble to celebrate the rich and vibrant traditional a cappella polyphonic music of Georgia. This concert is a fundraiser for the Montreal Assault Prevention Centre.

The Stones Tour
A walking tour of the fossils, minerals, and secret spots found in the walls of some of downtown Montreal's proudest institutions. The tour starts at the Redpath Museum and returns along Sherbrooke Street west from the Beaux Arts Museum. Includes a copy of the popular booklet What Building Stones Tell.
$12 per adult, $7 per seniors/student/child. In English. All ages welcome. Meet on the front steps of the Museum, outside (rain or shine).

The Albert Aguayo Lecture
The 4th Annual Albert Aguayo Lecture entitled "From Peppers to Pit Vipers: Molecular Insights into Thermosensation and Pain" will take place at 4:30 on June 10, 2013 at the Neuro. This important lecture will be given by David Julius, Ph.D. Morris Herzstein Chair in Molecular Biology and Medicine, Professor and Chair of Physiology, University of California, San Francisco. This annual lecture honours Dr. Albert Aguayo, founder and former Director of the Centre for the Research in Neuroscience at McGill University.
Science at the Frontier Challenge @ Redpath Museum
Watch as young scientists compete to communicate cutting edge science to the public, with just four minutes and four images each! We present a fast-paced competition where scientists in training from across Canada, the US, and Europe present on topics ranging from bacterial evolution to black holes. Contestants will receive live feedback, and a winner will be selected at the end of the night. Join us for an evening of science at the frontier, brought to you by young scientists at the beginning of their careers.
