By David Wolfson (Professor, Dept. of Mathematics and Statistics, McGill)
David Wolfson proclaims that he is a statistician and will begin this lecture by explaining what we statisticians do and why the quote in his talk title is so apt. He will then present some of his current research in survival analysis through a story that started with the question: "How long do people live following onset of dementia?" and with data collected as part of a major Canadian study of aging.
